Q: How do you identify the core issues of a case?

A: When analyzing a case and building a strategy, I try to inspect individual trees as meticulously as possible without losing sight of the overall forest. First and foremost, I organize the facts accurately. If facts remain unclear, both legal application and legal judgment can waver. I thoroughly review raw data and related materials provided by the client. I tend to allocate the most time to this stage.
I don't believe facts consist solely of 100% objective information. From one perspective, Fact A holds significance, while from another perspective, Fact B becomes meaningful. I try to organize facts clearly from the client's perspective as much as possible, and then construct the logic based on that.
Q: How do you uncover hidden facts?
A: There can be facts that clients failed to recognize or didn't consider important, leaving them uncommunicated. When arranging and organizing raw data chronologically, if missing gaps or questions arise, I immediately communicate with the client to organize the facts as meticulously as possible.

At that point, I imagine and ponder scenarios myself?asking 'could it have happened this way or that way?'?before asking the client. As I fit the puzzle together like that, an overall picture emerges, and building legal theories and arguments from that starting point creates a solid foundation. However, since getting overly buried in individual facts can cause one to lose the overall flow of the case, I try not to lose sight of the big picture as well.
Q: What is your secret to earning client trust?
A: Having worked as in-house counsel, I know how frustrating it is in practice when something is urgent but the attorney is hard to reach. When a client reaches out, I reply as quickly as possible. If it's difficult to give an immediate answer, I share the current progress status. I try to quickly convey verifiable details, such as that I've begun the review or when I will respond.
A lawyer provides legal services?it is a service profession.

Even when achieving the same outcome, executing tasks in a way that satisfies the client is critical. I believe making the client feel 'they are devoting sufficient care and effort to my case' is just as important as the outcome itself.
On top of that, I try to offer opinions as objectively as possible. Getting swept up emotionally makes it difficult to render precise judgment and can lead to poor results. I believe maintaining objectivity earns client trust, which in turn leads to referrals.
Q: How do you evaluate the significance of the 'Law Firm Consumer Report'?
A: From a consumer perspective, it holds great significance because corporate legal officers can broadly check actual user experiences and evaluations. From a law firm's perspective, it provides an opportunity to see how clients evaluate us, helping us grasp the market's criteria for evaluating firms and what needs they hold. For law firms outside the major tiers in particular, it serves as a meaningful opportunity to make themselves known to the market.
